Administrative Support Technology Articulation Agreement
Suffolk Public Schools and Paul D. Camp Community College

The Administrative Support Technology program is designed to prepare students with the skills required in Administrative Systems and Information Systems Management. These skills include, but are not limited to developing skills in professionalism, fundamental office operation, office communications, preparation and distribution of documents, administrative support operations, computer systems and financial activities. These skills are taught at the high school level and the college level, expanding but not duplicating students’ knowledge and skills.

High School Career and Technical Prerequisites:
Keyboarding Applications
Desktop, Multimedia, and Web Technologies
Office Administration

College Prerequisites:
Placement recommendation (ENG 111)
Placement recommendation MTH 142 (Mandated completion with success)
Placement recommendation (MTH 151)
AST 102 or divisional approval (AST 201)
Pre- or co-requisite (and ACC 111) (ACC 112—Mandated completion with success)
ENG 111 (ENG 112)

Articulated Credits
Once the student has met all of the requirements outlined in the articulation agreement,
equivalent credit for the following articulated courses will appear on the student’s PDCCC transcript by course title and credit hours (without tuition or fees)

AST 101 Keyboarding I (4 credits)
AST Elective (2 credits)

Students who plan to transfer to other four-year colleges must develop a specific course plan with their Paul D. Camp Community College advisor.
