Agricultural
Education stresses the development of skills in all aspects
of agricultural businesses and industries. Included in the studies
are skills related to planning, management, safety, finances, and
leadership.
The Future Farmers of America
(FFA) is an integral part of the agricultural education program.
The FFA provides all agricultural education students opportunities
to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Leadership
activities enhance the experiences of the students.
To affiliate and participate in
FFA activities sponsored by the state and national organizations,
agriculture students must hold paid membership in the local FFA
chapter at his/her high school. There are approximately 90 students
who hold membership in FFA for the 2004-2005 school year.
