Strategies for Success

Test-taking Tips:

  • Reading carefully and taking time to think carefully are top priorities.
  • The tests are not timed, so there is no need to rush.
  • Watch out for signal words such as not, except, most, and least.
  • The process of elimination can be used to zero in on the best answer.
  • Relaxed breaths will aid concentration.
  • Try rotating shoulders and breathing slowly.
  • Remember that tests are given to measure what you have learned. Take this opportunity to shine!
