Edu-Link Calling System Ready to Go

 

 

Suffolk Public Schools has launched a new automated phone broadcast system to keep parents updated about emergency situations, weather closings or delays, and general announcements. Calls about daily student absences and delinquent school lunch accounts are also using the system.

The student telephone number dialed by the Edu-Link calling system is the primary phone number entered in the school division’s student information database. This database information is not shared with the Edu-Link program, but is maintained and secured by Suffolk Public Schools.

If parents are not receiving Edu-Link calls, please check with your child's school to update the student information database. Please note that Edu-Link will only make calls to the (757) area code.

The Edu-Link system will be used as an enhancement -- not a replacement -- of the traditional communication methods in place, including the district website, letters or personal phone calls to parents, and announcements by the local media outlets.
