Transition Services

 Transition services are outcome-oriented activities coordinated for students with disabilities.  The goal of transition is to promote successful movement from school to post-school activities, including post-secondary education, vocational training, integrated employment (including supported employment), continuing and adult education, adult services, independent living, and community participation. Transition services are based on the student's interests and needs. Transition planning must begin for special needs students at age 16, but is often appropriate to begin considering when the student turns 14 years of age.  Transition also includes:

 Community Enclave Entrepreneur/Unique Services (CEE/US)

The Community Enclave Entrepreneur/Unique Services (CEE/US) program provides on-the-job training, enhancement of social skills and community awareness for students with disabilities during their sophomore, junior and senior years.

  • Prepare students with disabilities for successful employment with business partners in the community.
  • Enable business partners in the community to employ students with disabilities who will develop specific skills for jobs in their business.
  • Acclimate business partners and the business community to students with disabilities and their potential as successful employee
