 Huh?  Tips to Memorizing Content

  • Review, review, review
    • It takes 15 to 30 minutes of practice over several days to memorize and maintain information. 
    • When learning something new, review daily for 3 to 4 days.
  • Draw
    • Using colors and shapes helps the brain remember.
    • Draw a colorful picture of what you are trying to learn.

  • Talk it out
    • Talking about what is being learned helps memory.
    • Get together with friends or family and talk about what you are trying to learn.

  • Rhymes and Songs
    • Use rhyme, rhythm, and repetition to recall learned information.
    • Practice information to a familiar song or tune to enhance auditory memory.
    • Create a beat, a jingle, or a rap using learned information.
  • Lights, Camera, Action!
    • Role-play or act out what you are trying to learn.
    • Move your body.  Be it.  Feel it.

Remember the Facts Poem

To remember a fact you need to know

Sing it, move it, or see it as you go.

If you need just one more way

Write it, draw it, or act it out one day.

This will ham up your act

And help you remember each awesome fact!
