Step 1 - Create your
Parent Connection account

You will need an active email address to use this
service. We recommend that you create a unique password for this
account and do not use a password that you are currently using for
another account (email, online banking, work computer, etc.)
Step 2- Apply for
access to your student's records
To apply for access to student records, you will need to have your
student's ID number. Your student's ID number is also used as their
computer login; asking your student for their login will help you
obtain the student ID required for the application process. The
student ID can also be found on the report card.
Step 3- Visit your
student's school to have your application approved
Once you have activated your account and completed your application
for access to your student's records, you will need to have your
application approved by the school office. You may call the counselor
to schedule a verification appointment. The verification process
will take about five minutes. Please bring some type of pictured
identification.
Dear Parent
The Suffolk Public Schools is offering a unique service to parents.
Parent Connection will allow parents to view their student(s)’
grades and attendance on-line. Grades that appear in Parent Connection
are drawn directly from our teachers’ gradebooks and will
provide an electronic progress report available anytime. This service
has been offered to middle school and high school parents for over a year now. It will be
available in all elementary schools for the 2007-2008 school year.
Parents who wish to sign up for Parent Connection should follow
the steps above.
You may call the counselor to schedule a verification appointment
if you cannot visit the school on a scheduled Parent Connection Registration Day. The verification process
will take about five minutes. Please bring some type of pictured
identification.
After your account is approved you may view your student’s
grades from any computer with internet access. Only one account
per household is needed to access all of your student’s grades.
Although Suffolk Public Schools will not make your username/password
publicly available, we recommend that you create a unique
password for this account and do not use a password that you are
currently using for another account (email, online banking,
work computer). The grades of your student posted on the website
can be accessed only by someone who knows your username and password.
You may cancel this service at any time by contacting the Guidance
Counselor at any time.
Remember that the grades you see might not include all the assignments
or tests that have been completed by your student. Please allow
teachers five days to post grades after the due date of an assignment.
If you have any question about any of the items, please contact
the teacher.
