| Hello Parents, Teachers, and Staff!
Creekside Elementary PTA board members are working hard to build upon the successes from our inaugural year, learn from our mistakes, and try some new ideas.
If you have not joined PTA yet, it is not too late!! Dues are only $5 per member, and membership is open to any adult…parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles…anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of the students here at Creekside. PTA members have access to members only information on the state and national PTA websites, discounts at various businesses (details on the websites), and the right to vote on PTA issues at the local, state and national levels.
While we certainly encourage volunteering in the school and at PTA functions, it is not mandatory. If you do wish to volunteer for PTA or school activities, you must first complete a background check form which can be picked up in the office. This year, Creekside Elementary PTA will be participating in the national PTA volunteer program, Three for Me. This program encourages PTA members to pledge to volunteer a minimum of three hours of their time the entire school year. This can be done all at one time, or a little at a time. Attend PTA meetings, read the PTA newsletter, or see Mrs. Richardson, the school volunteer coordinator, for volunteer opportunities that can be done at the school or at home.
Help us make this year even better than last year. Help your child and make a difference….join PTA!
