Application Process
Each student wishing to participate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program must submit a completed application for the Pre-International Baccalaureate Program at King's Fork High School. Applications are available in all middle school guidance counselor offices, from the IB Lead Teacher, or the Suffolk Public Schools website: http://www.spsk12.net/documents/IBOStudentApplication_SPS_2-15-08_Revised.doc.
The Application Form/Admissions Agreement sheet and teacher recommendations are due to the middle school counselor by March 11, 2008. All applicants must also participate in a writing sample session at your middle school following the submission of the application in order for the application to be complete. Information for the writing session dates and times is listed in the packet.
Acceptance in contingent upon mastery of all SOL assessments taken in Grade 8.

2008 Safe and Drug-Free
Essay and Poster Contests

Your child is invited to participate in the Safe and Drug-Free Essay and Poster Contests. In March, three winning entries will be selected form the elementary, middle and high school grades.
This year's theme is "Our Youth...Our Future: Living in a World Without Violence or Abuse.
