I believe education is student-centered. Education is defined as the knowledge or skill obtained or developed by a learning process, with the emphasis being that LEARNING IS A PROCESS!! The term student is not limited to the children who sit in our classrooms, but broadened to incorporate the teachers who stand before them ready to educate and be educated. To be a teacher or educator does not mean that I have reached the end of my road to learning, as learning is not a one way street. Instead, it means that I must share the wealth of knowledge I have and absorb the wealth of knowledge others have to give.

I teach like YELLOW!
I teach like YELLOW! I teach with enthusiasm, Hoping to brighten the topic at hand.
I teach like YELLOW! Turning on the light switch in each child’s mind, Challenging him/her to think outside of the box.
I teach like YELLOW! Hoping that on any given day I have made at least one child smile at And be proud of his or her accomplishments, Or of something I’ve said or done.
I TEACH LIKE YELLOW!

As I ignite the spark of discovery in my students, I must kindle it in my own practices as well. -Anthony Cody
