Teaching Philosophy

I want to take a little time to explain my views concerning your child’s education. My main goal as a teacher is to help the student in any way that I can. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I hope that your child finds my class both interesting and challenging. Education is not merely teaching students how to memorize facts, it is an art form, a system in which students can learn to both explore and question the world around them.  While designing my lessons, I aim to incorporate all different styles of learning. This class WILL be difficult but ultimately, at least I hope, rewarding. The study of language and literature enables humans to connect with ideas and cultures outside their normal surroundings. This year we will all be travelers!
