D.E.B.S. is an after-school program that enhances the academics and social skills for our young ladies.  Topics such as esteem building, decision-making, communication skills, career choices and self-empowerment are covered.

Mission Statement

To provide an educational small group setting directed at adolescent and pre-adolescent females which focuses on improving  self-esteem, social skills, conflict management, and academic achievement.  Through this mission these young ladies will learn to love the person they view in the mirror.

G. E. M. S.

The mission of G.E.M.S. (Girls Excited About Math and Science) is to promote math, science and technology skills with middle school girls. G.E.M.S. will provide girls with the opportunity to experience hands-on activities and meet female professionals in math, science and technology careers.

Meeting Dates for G.E.M.S.

November 13, 2007
Christine Lafferty, Lead ITRT, led the GEMS meeting. The objective of this meeting was to introduce the girls to G.E.M.S. and talk about the activities they would be doing throughout the year. The activity for this meeting was "Mining Engineering" and the girls used bird seed to search for gems.
