Mission Statement

The faculty and staff of John Yeates Middle School strive to

provide a quality education for each of our students.

One of our priorities is to meet and exceed the

Standards of Learning set forth by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

We feel that all students are capable of learning when given the proper environment that encourages them to strive for their highest potential. 

We believe that the joint efforts of school, home and community are essential to develop a positive self-image and to foster academic,

social and personal growth of our students.

We will endeavor to extend to them a supportive, caring, and safe

environment to promote becoming responsible citizens and

productive members of our global society.
