Parents:
I would like to welcome you to Nansemond River High school.
We are very excited about the many accomplishments of our students
and faculty. Through the efforts of our students and teachers,
our school was fully accredited on the Standards of Learning
in the 2007-2008 school year and we met AYP (Adequate Yearly
Progress) in all categories.
Our senior class of 2006-2007 was accepted to many outstanding
colleges and universities such as Virginia, Howard, William
and Mary, Hampton University, Virginia Tech,
Illinois, Vanderbilt University, Carnegie Mellon University, St. Johns Univ. Bethune Cookman Collegee,and the US Naval Academy to name a few. The class of 2007 also included a National Achievement Program Finalist who received a National Merit Scholarship. The senior
class received $3.2 million dollars for a class size of 239 students.
We are very excited about the many great happenings at our school.
