The research assignments are due as follows:

Narrow the topic so that it is appropriate for a three page paper.

 

a Source Cards............................. February 8

Include the author’s name, the title of the work, the publishing

company, the place of the publication, and the copyright date.

 

a Thesis Statement..................... February 15

The thesis statement shall state the controlling idea of the paper.

 

a Note Cards.............................. February 22

Cite direct quotations and number the cards

according to the source.

 

a Outline.................................... February 29

Use a formal outline style.

 

a Draft........................................... March 14

The preliminary draft should be typed on your school account.

 

a Final Copy................................... March 21

     Final copies must include:

       1.  Cover page

       2.  Three pages of text

           (typed in MLA format with parenthetical citations)

       3.  Works cited page

      

     Use information from the source cards in alphabetical

     order by the author’s last name.
