When absent, students are expected to check the website to find the missed work. Classwork and homework assignments will be posted on the current unit page. Complete any work assigned from the textbook. A copy of any worksheets given out during class will be placed in the student's Returned Work folder. REMEMBER: The student handbook states that work missed when absent must be made up within FIVE SCHOOL DAYS of returning to school. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Students should see me regarding missed quizzes and tests. Students who are unsure of what assignments they are missing should see me or send an e-mail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parents are also encouraged to sign up for Parent Connection in order to view their child's grades online. Late work may be turned in up to FIVE DAYS BEYOND THE DUE DATE to receive half credit. It WILL NOT be accepted after this point. (LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FROM STUDENTS IN AP BIOLOGY!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The student handbook indicates that a student who is absent has FIVE school days to complete missed work ASSIGNED DURING THE STUDENT'S ABSENCE. Work turned in after this five day period is considered late and will receive half credit until the 10th day. After the 10th day, it will not be accepted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If a student is absent on the day an assignment is due, the assignment MUST be turned in by the following class period. In this case, the five day grace period does NOT apply!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Students must see me to schedule a time to make up missed quizzes and tests. |
