Instrumental Music

Marching band season lasts from April 15th  thru the summer  until November 15th.  Audition is required.  Students must be enrolled in a band class at NR in order to participate in the marching band.    Marching Band is a co-curricular activity.

Symphonic Band is open to students enrolled in the advanced band class.  Audition is required.  Performance is required throughout the school year.  Symphonic Band is a co-curricular activity.

Concert Band is open to students enrolled in the intermediate or advanced band 2 class.  Audition is required.  Performance is required throughout the school year.  Concert Band is a  co-curricular activity.

Jazz Band is open to students enrolled in the small instrumental ensemble class. Audition is not required.  Performance is required throughout the school year.    Jazz Band is a  co-curricular activity.

The Pep Band is an extra curricular activity which operates on a voluntary basis.  Selection for this ensemble is based on availability, musicianship and grades.  The pep band plays for home and away basketball games during the season.
