The JYMS seventh grade civic classes participate in the Junior Achievement program. Community volunteers teach students economics and business skills weekly for eight weeks. |

John Yeates students contributed close to $2,800 to the Toys for Tots and the March of Dimes campaigns. |

Test Scores
The Virginia Standards of Learning
(SOLs) are a framework of basic skills students in each grade
level should learn in English, math, science, social studies,
and technology.
The SOL tests are given each
spring to measure students' success in meeting these state
standards.
State benchmarks for 2007 is a 70 percent pass rate in all subjects.
