Our school offers a number of activities that include students and parents. Students participate in exciting extracurricular activities including monthly clubs such as golf, cooking, and cross-stitch. In November, fathers and other male relatives are invited to a Chief’s Feast, and in May we host a Mother’s Day Luncheon to honor the special women in our lives. We also conduct Parent Roundtable discussions to increase the communication lines with the stakeholders of our community. In addition, three Family Nights are offered based on physical education, math and science, and literacy.

The Oakland staff is dedicated to providing a rigorous curriculum. We promote higher level thinking activities to stimulate our student’s minds.  We are constantly researching new and innovative learning strategies to improve instruction.  We are dedicated to providing challenges for students who excel and remediation for those who need assistance.  Oakland Elementary is an awesome place to be for kids!
