The fifth grade students will be covering the following for the month of December:
Week of December 15th Mid Nine weeks math and science exam
Math topics: SOL 5.14 (Classifying Angles and Triangles)
History topics: U.S.1.5c,d (People in Colonial America, Economic and Political life in the colonies)
Science topics: 5.5 (Characteristics of Cells)
Writing topics: 5.8/5.9 (Expository and Descriptive essays)
Math and history tutoring on Thursdays by the Lodge
Christmas story week of December 1st
