    REGISTRATION

     

    Suffolk Public Schools students - Registration will be available by completing the online application form May 1st until June 9th. Invitations to apply with links to the application form are being provided by the counseling departments of each school.  If you believe that your child is in need of summer school and has not been contacted, please discuss your concerns with your child’s counselor.  Registration will be prioritized for Suffolk Public Schools students.

     

    Non-Suffolk Public Schools students -  In order to enroll in the Suffolk Public Schools High School Summer program, all out-of-district students must receive prior approval in writing from their school administrator. Registration forms for non-SPS students may be turned in to King’s Fork High School located at 351 King’s Fork Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434. Please make an appointment to register your student. Parents and students are required to sign an Acceptable Use and Internet Safety Policy (AUP) form. Contact the Counseling  Department at King’s Fork High School for details.



    TUITION (non-SPS students only)

     

    Tuition must be paid for non-SPS students in full at the time of registration. Personal checks for tuition will be accepted until June 15, 2023. After this date tuition must be paid in cash or by money order. Summer School Is Free For All Suffolk Public Schools students.

    SUMMER SCHOOL SCHEDULE

     

    The High School Summer Program will be offered face-to-face and in virtual format (new courses only) for the 2023 summer session. While students/parents can select the classes for summer school, students/parents do not have the option of selecting summer course sections (morning or afternoon). The staff will assign students to course sections based on enrollment. Students taking a single repeat course will be assigned either a morning or an afternoon section. Students may only register for two repeat courses.

     

    PARTICIPATION

     

    Students in the virtual format (new courses only) are required to be present in the 2 live sessions daily (Monday - Thursday). Students taking face-to-face courses are required to be present in class daily(Monday-Thursday). Students who miss more than two classes will have their course(s) canceled and will fail for the summer.           

     

    CODE OF CONDUCT

     

    Students enrolled in the Suffolk Public Schools High School Summer Program are expected to follow the rules and regulations enforced during the regular school year. If a student is dismissed because of his or her conduct, tuition will not be refunded.
