REGISTRATION
Suffolk Residents -Registration will be available by appointment only at your student's base middle school from June 12 until June 25. There will be no Friday registrations after June 15, 2020. A signed Acceptable and Internet Safety Policy (AUP) will be required - parent and student signatures are required. See Guidance Dept. for details.
TUITION
Tuition is free for Suffolk Public School students.
COURSES
The following courses will be offered in the 2020 Summer School Program:
SUMMER SCHOOL SCHEDULE
The Middle School Summer Program will be offered in a virtual format only for the 2020 summer session. However, each teacher will provide weekly office hours where students will be afforded the opportunity to receive instructional support. Dates and times are listed within this document. Students do not have the option of selecting summer courses or sections. The staff will assign students to courses and sections based on enrollment. Students will only be able to take a single repeat course in a morning section.
PARTICIPATION
Students taking virtual courses are required to work on their online modules as their progress will be monitored by teachers daily. At any time, if a student’s progress should fall below 10% or more of the target completion percentage, they risk having their course(s) disabled and failing for the summer. There will be NO SOL testing this year in Summer School.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Students enrolled in the Suffolk Public School’s High School Summer Program are expected to follow the rules and regulations enforced during the regular school year.
