Budget Information

The Suffolk Public Schools operating budget reflects our commitment to providing high-quality educational opportunities in a safe, supportive, and fiscally responsible manner. Developed in alignment with division priorities and student needs, the budget supports classroom instruction, student services, staffing, transportation, facilities, and essential operational functions across the division.

Through careful planning, transparency, and collaboration with school leadership, staff, families, and community partners, Suffolk Public Schools works to ensure public funds are used efficiently and effectively. The budget process is designed to balance educational excellence with responsible stewardship, supporting student success while meeting state and local requirements.

During a public meeting of the Suffolk City School Board, held on Thursday, March 26 2026,  the Board voted 6-1 to approve the superintendent's budget for the 2026-2027 school year.
