Student Health

Suffolk Public Schools Health Services staff believe that good health is necessary in order for learning to occur. The staff recognizes that parents have the primary responsibility for the health of their children and cooperates with family and community resources to continually monitor each child's health status. The health services program relates to the student's physical, emotional, mental and social health needs.

Health Services Program:

  • Health Assessment

  • Vision and Hearing Screening

  • Scoliosis Education

  • Emergency Care of Sick and Injured Students and School Personnel

  • Health Counseling

  • Health Education

  • Child Study

  • Eligibility/Special Education Services

  • Communicable Disease Control

  • Case Management of Students with Chronic Health Conditions

  • Administer Medication

  • Perform Specialized Procedures

  • Staff Wellness
