Have You Been Exposed to covid-19?

• The expectation will remain that students and staff stay home when they are ill - especially with fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Up-to-date guidance on the length of time a person should stay home if COVID-19 is suspected/confirmed can be found on the CDC and VDH websites at https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viruses/guidance/respiratory-virus-guidance.html  and https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/.
• Proper handwashing and respiratory etiquette will still be promoted to prevent the spread of illnesses.
• Parents and staff are still encouraged to report cases of COVID-19, influenza, strep, etc. to the school nurse. We will continue to collaborate with our local health department regarding trends and report the presence or suspected presence of an outbreak to the health department as required by the Code of Virginia.
