The mission of Suffolk Public Schools Health Services Program is to enhance the ability of children to learn and to achieve their fullest potential by promoting health literacy, and by improving health knowledge, skills, attitude and behaviors.
Suffolk Public Schools Health Services staff believes that good health is necessary in order for learning to occur. The staff recognizes that parents have the primary responsibility for the health of their children and cooperates with families and community resources to continually monitor each child's health status. The health services program relates to the student's physical, emotional, mental and social health needs.
