Summer Meals Return to Suffolk Public Schools to Support Student Wellness

As we prepare for the summer months, Suffolk Public Schools Food & Nutrition Services is pleased to offer once again several opportunities to help ensure our students continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is out.

This summer, the following programs will be available:

  • Summer Meal Delivery Program: Meal deliveries will be provided to eligible rural areas beginning June 8, 2026, helping ensure access for families with limited transportation.

  • Summer Feeding Sites: Breakfast and lunch will be served on-site at designated school locations (MBJES and KFMS) from June 29 through July 30, 2026. These sites offer students a convenient option for enjoying healthy meals in a welcoming environment.

  • Community Food Bank Partnership Events: In partnership with the Food Bank, monthly food distribution events will be held at Mack Benn Jr. Elementary School on June 17July 15, and August 12, 2026.

We encourage families to take advantage of these valuable resources to support the health and well-being of our students throughout the summer.
