The Suffolk Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services Department is hosting another
"Nourishing Our Neighbors" community event this Thursday, April 22, at Booker T. Washington Elementary School from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.

PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE TO LINE UP BEFORE 4:30 p.m., in order to allow room for our student buses to leave at the end of the school day,

This is a drive-thru event. Please be aware of volunteers wearing bright orange vests, who will be directing traffic. All produce items will be prepared and packaged separately.

The following items will be available
-   A 16-pound box consisting of Potatoes, Oranges, Zucchini, Onions, Apples, Tomatoes, and Peppers
-   Strawberries
-   Pineapple
-   Cantaloupe

Children do not need to be present to receive produce items. Please follow all CDC guidelines, including wearing a mask.

Road Signage/Special Event signs have been put out to help direct traffic.

In partnership with the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, “Nourishing Our Neighbors" allows SPS to provide fresh produce to families at no cost.

A special thank you goes out to our Food and Nutritional Services team!
