LEAP is the Elementary Summer School Program (Learning & Enrichment for Academic Progress) begins Monday, June 24 and continues through Thursday, July 25 at Elephant's Fork Elementary School. 

This program will serve close to 600 selected K-5 students from 11 elementary schools city-wide and rising kindergarten students without preschool experience. 

Students attend from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., spending the mornings in academic remediation and the afternoons in enrichment opportunities. 

The academic program includes thematic hands-on learning, small group instruction in reading and math, expanded library media center opportunities, and health and wellness lessons.

Wrap-around services include screenings to check vision, hearing, dental needs, behavioral health screenings, and physical fitness. 

Afternoon enrichment options for students include swimming, tennis, yoga, art, cooking, science fun, line dancing, sign language, team sports, creative movement, macramé, woodworking, learning to mime, and more.
