Career & Technical Education

Students may begin career exploration and development in middle and high school through a variety of career and technical education programs. Courses are offered in agriculture, business and information technology, marketing, technology education, family and consumer sciences, career connections, trade and industrial fields, and health and medical sciences. Cooperative education and job shadowing opportunities enable students to gain valuable workplace experience.

In addition to offering classes in the middle and high schools, The College & Career Academy at Pruden is a career and technical education center for Suffolk students which offers morning and afternoon classes. High school students can prepare for careers in early childhood education, collision repair technology, automotive service technology, building trades, culinary arts, cosmetology, welding, certified Internet webmaster, geospatial technology, Oracle, modeling & simulation support specialist, nurse aide, utility/heavy construction technology, PC technology, emergency medical technician, and veterinary assistant.​
