Dr. Elizabeth Green, a retiree from Norfolk City Public Schools, spends much of her free time volunteering with students in an attempt to inspire them to be better writers.  With a background in literacy education, Dr. Green brings all that knowledge to the classrooms of Turlington Woods to help the middle school English teacher model writing instruction and conduct writing conferences.  Through prompts she creates herself, and the released SOL prompts from the states, she works hard to engage the students in the writing process in order to help them discover their voice and power through the pen.
