Important: Dismissal Information
We are excited to welcome our students to a new school year next week. With that being said, we want to ensure that all dismissal procedures are communicated to ensure a smooth process for the entire year. Please see the reminders below:
New: Early Start and Kindergarten students will not be approved to walk per school division policy.
Tag Pick-up will begin promptly at 3:50, we are asking parents not to line up prior to 3:30 in the school parking lot.
Any parent who picks up their child before dismissal must do so by 3:40. At 3:40, any parent picking up their student must join the car line. This is to ensure student safety and smooth building dismissal procedures.
Parents of walkers are to leave the sidewalk approaching the cafeteria clear at all times during arrival and dismissal to ensure the safety of ALL students.
It is strongly recommended by SPS that parents select one primary method of transportation for students to ensure consistency.
We appreciate your cooperation and support as we work diligently to ensure student and staff safety.
Additionally, this year, Hillpoint Elementary School will be providing Tag Pick-Up for afternoon student dismissal through the use of our new dismissal management system entitled Pikmykid. Pikmykid has been utilized in other school divisions throughout the country and is proven to simplify dismissal, reduce traffic congestion, and, most importantly, improve overall safety.

We are asking all parents/guardians who have a student enrolled at Hillpoint to be prepared to register for the Pikmykid App as well as pick up their assigned Tag prior to the first day of school. Please note that ALL enrolled students are automatically assigned a tag number through our new system.
