S.T.A.R. Student Intern Program

What is S.T.A.R?: The Suffolk Public Schools S.T.A.R program is an opportunity for rising junior and senior students to participate in a paid, high-quality, work-based learning experience working within several of the school division departments. Students benefit greatly from high-quality work-based learning experiences as they allow them to seamlessly translate the workplace readiness skills acquired in the classroom into real-world applications. These experiences serve as a bridge, enabling students to demonstrate their abilities, adaptability, and professionalism in authentic work settings, ultimately preparing them for successful careers.

Applications are accepted from students with pre-established work hours in their school schedules. The starting pay is $16.20 per hour. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from their assigned worksites. Apply here now!
