Northern Shores Elementary faculty and staff celebrate the school's 20th anniversary with special t-shirts. The key to student success is a great school ... and the key to a great school is a great principal. National Principals Month is your opportunity to say “thank you” to principals everywhere. To celebrate the 241st birthday of the U.S. Navy, local sailors spent a morning at five schools -- Driver, Elephant's Fork, Hillpoint and Pioneer Elementary ... as well as John F. Kennedy Middle, pictured here. Third-graders at Pioneer Elementary worked in teams to apply their textbook lessons about simple machines and create models of pulleys, levers, and more. To raise money for United Way, Mack Benn, Jr. Elementary principal David LeFevre provided the opportunity for a student to be Principal for a Day. Congratulations to Miles Redmond. No way you're old enough to be a grandparents of a student in elementary school! During Grandparents Week, students could invite their grandfolks to share lunch with them.
