Lakeland High students and staff freshen up the school's curb appeal, and also refurbished the inner courtyard. Forest Glen Middle School 8th-graders launch their science lessons by practicing with rockets. Fifth-graders at Creekside Elementary create boats out of foil, duct tape, and wire hangers. Winning designs were strong enough to float with 60 cans on board. Animals from the Virginia Zoo visit with kindergarten students at Florence Bowser Elementary to help kids explore the characteristics of living things. The King's Fork High Beta Club will donate items to the Roc Solid Foundation, which helps children with cancer and their families. Graduation is Saturday, June 16. Tickets are limited. Ceremonies will be streamed live online via Grad Cam.
