All District Reads is back!  Every SPS student in grades PreK-5th grade received a copy of the book "EllRay Jakes is Magic!".  Families are encouraged to follow the schedule and read the book together.  Each school day, students will have trivia questions and prizes for each book chapter.

To kick off this event, we had a magician come to Kilby Shores to perform a little magic around the school.  He dazzled students with card tricks, disappearing coins, and his magical scarf!  

After the kids saw magic up close, the new book was given out to take home.  Our hope is that this creates a culture of family reading in the home.  Read-aloud tips for families are included in the flyer.  We hope you and your child enjoy the book!
