  • Diploma Options

    High school students are required to earn 22 credits to graduate with a standard diploma and 26 credits for an advanced studies diploma. Beyond a high school diploma, students have diploma options including Academic Scholars, Early College Scholars, and Paul D. Camp Community College Degree or Certificate.

     

    Advanced Studies Diploma (26 credits / 5 Verified)

    • 4 English Standard Credits (2 Verified Credits)

    • 4 Mathematics Standard Credits (1 Verified Credits)

    • 4 Science Standard Credits (1 Verified Credits)

    • 4 History and Social Sciences Standard Credits (1 Verified Credits)

    • 2 Health and Physical Education Standard Credits (Virtual)

    • 1 Fine or CTE Standard Credits 

    • 3 or 4 Foreign Language Standard Credits

      • 3 years of one Foreign Language or

      • 2 years each of two different Foreign Languages

    • 1 Economics & Personal Finance (Virtual)

    • 3 Elective Standard Credits (Sequential)

    • Service Learning Project - US Government Class

    Service Learning Requirement 

    • Students who were enrolled in grade 9 in 2020-21 and beyond will be required to complete a service learning experience embedded in a core area course.  Service learning experiences enable students to learn to apply academic, social and personal skills to improve the community, continue individual growth, and develop a lifelong ethic of service.

    Additional Diploma Requirements

    Community Service (optional)

    Community service is designed to promote civic responsibility through active participation in service experiences to enhance the student' ability and desire to impact the community, to foster a sense of caring for others, and to develop a habit of volunteer service to those in need as a part of the College and Career Readiness initiative. Students must earn 50 hours of community service before graduation.
